Philips RSS Help

What is RSS?

In a world heaving under the weight of billions of web pages, keeping up to date with the information you want can be a drag. Wouldn't it be better to have the latest news and features delivered directly to you, rather than clicking from site to site? Well now you can, thanks to a very clever service, RSS.

Available RSS feeds

RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is a format for distributing and gathering content from all over the Web, like news stories and magazine articles.

RSS feeds are used to bring you the latest information directly, usually including a headline, summary and a link to the full article.

How can I use RSS?

To use RSS, you need a separate RSS news reader (similar to a web browser) that will allow you to collect and display RSS feeds.

If you currently do not have an RSS reader, we recommend using Feedreader. It is free to use and can be downloaded by following the steps below.

1. Go to the download page *
2. Select the nearest download location and click on the download icon on the right (in the 'Download' column)
3. Save the file to your desktop or any other easy accessible location
4. Double-click the file and follow the installation instructions

Note: If you access the internet via a proxy, you might have to enter this into your RSS reader. If you're not sure, please contact your local system administrator or IT support desk.
