Jürgen is a physicist and is with Philips Research since 1994. He has been working in the area of medical imaging, computer assisted diagnosis and image guided therapy, and made numerous important contributions. In particular, he introduced a software technology for the automatic generation of personalized heart and organ models from medical images that is a key component of an increasing number of innovative products.

Jean-Paul joined Philips Research in 1995 to initiate a research activity on security and content management. He contributed to the standardization of various music and video distribution systems, and he developed innovative technology for electronic watermarking which is currently in use by the Philips spin-off Civolution.
