Supply Management is fundamental to this, and to developing an integrated value chain which enables us to continuously introduce innovative new products and create value for all our stakeholders.

Recognizing the importance of Supply Management, and the

need to develop closer, stronger relationships with our strategic

suppliers, Philips appointed Mrs Barbara Kux as its first Chief

Procurement Officer (CPO), in 2003. Reflecting the pivotal

nature of the function, Mrs Kux also has a seat on the Group

Management Committee.

Mrs Kux heads the Supply Management Leadership Board (SLB),

whose members include senior Supply Management staff and

the CPOs of Philips’ businesses. This Board aligns supply

management strategy across Philips and monitors progress

towards our objectives.
