Corporate responsibilities: Imaging Systems business
Daniel Hartert held various technical positions with Robert Bosch GmbH and VLSI Technology GmbH in Munich, before joining Bertelsmann AG of Germany in 1992, to become the IT Director of its European music business. In 1995, he moved to New York to become the International CIO of Bertelsmann music group, then returned to Germany four years later to fill the position of Bertelsmann CIO and member of the Executive Board of Bertelsmann's Direct Group. In 2001, he set up an IT business for Bertelsmann offering IT sevices to the market and, in this capacity, was a member of the Executive Board of Arvato, the Services Division of Bertelsmann. He was appointed Chief Information Officer and Head of Corporate IT in April 2002 and member of the Group Management Committee on August 1, 2003. He became CEO of the Imaging Systems business within Philips Healthcare on May 1, 2007.
