Between January 2005 and December 2008 Philips has reduced its outstanding shares by 28% for capital reduction purposes. In January 2009 Philips announced that its latest plan to repurchase € 5 billion worth of common Philips shares was stopped until further notice in line with our prudent financial cash management.
