High Potential Program

High Potential roles will boost your international Philips career. Being a High Potential at Philips means that we offer you a fast-track self managed career with lots of coaching and development programs to accelerate your functional and leadership competencies.

The Program

The aim of the Philips High Potential Development Program is to foster your growth so that in the future you become a high-caliber leader with the potential to hold key positions in the Philips organization. The High Potential learning path is all about broadening your expertise and follows a 2x2x2 model, meaning that ideally we would like you to do:


  • a cross-regional move: you’ll work in multiple countries, preferably in two regions;
  • a cross-business move: you’ll work in different product areas or sectors within Philips;
  • a cross-function move: you’ll gain experience in at least two different functional areas.

 

The program has been designed to help you develop fact-based decision making skills. Besides on-the-job training, you participate in a Development Centre which enables you to plan your learning and coaching areas more accurately. You’ll make use of our core and functional learning curriculums which are in place.

Your ongoing participation in the High Potential Pool is based on your outstanding performance, which is subject to evaluation each year.

The recruitment procedure:

The recruitment process for defined High Potential vacancies is more challenging than the one for the other vacancies. It all starts with pre-selective online tests, checking upon your analytical, verbal and numerical skills, where we expect you to gain an average score of 6 or higher. After successfully completing the online tests, you will be invited for one, or two interview rounds, and at the final stage of the selection procedure you will participate in an assessment centre; where depending on your performance, you will be given the status of High Potential.

If and when you are hired, Philips will support your relocation and provide you with settling in services, making your moving experience to a new city/country as smooth as possible.
