We believe in getting our future High Potentials off to a strong start. That’s why we created our Asia Talent Program. Running in 2008 for the fifth time, it provides MBAs with an exciting launch to their career with us, including opportunities to build networks with talented fellow graduates from across the region.

Business orientation gives you the big picture
If you apply and succeed at one of our Assessment Centers, your Talent Programme experience begins soon after you take up your job. First you’ll attend an intensive, week-long Business Orientation — usually in Singapore or Shanghai — to learn about Philips’ business worldwide, our strategy, our functional areas and how they interrelate. Understanding the ‘big picture’ is important, so you’ll hear from top Philips managers about challenges and objectives in various parts of our company. You’ll also take part in exercises designed to strengthen your financial, marketing and organizational skills, including a challenging business simulation game.
Project assignment helps build your competencies
Using a project agreed with your manager, we’ll help you develop your project management skills and leadership competencies. Over the next three to six months, you’ll receive dedicated coaching on this assignment, which typically focuses on a current real-world business issue.
We round off the program with a final evaluation, where we give you feedback on your achievements and discuss your personal development plan for the future. You’ll also meet up with other participants again for a graduation session, which includes more training in leadership skills.
