SimplyHealthy@Schools

SimplyHealthy@Schools is Philips’ global community program, helping underprivileged school children live healthier lives. Employees engage children around the Healthy Heroes toolkit, illustrating simple ways how they can improve their health and well-being. We also provide a free upgrade of the lighting in the schools we visit. The program is aimed at 8 to 12 year olds and pays special attention to air, light, water, oral hygiene, exercise and the environment. When these factors are improved, children perform better and their overall mental and physical well being also increases.

Projects around the world

In 2010, the program ran in 38 countries reaching almost 63,000 students in 660 schools and actively involving more than 3,500 employees from around the world on the ground, and many thousands more online. In 2011, the program expanded to include 54 countries.
