The Philips Museum is in the heart of Eindhoven, literally located where Gerard Philips produced his first light bulbs in 1891. During this Design Talk, Sergio Derks, Lead Curator at the Philips Museum, will lead you through a virtual interactive tour, providing “inside” stories and design highlights in our Philips history. He’ll share details on how Design was born at Philips and the early beginnings of Philips Design in 1925 with Louis Kalff. He’ll talk you through the evolution of the Philips logo and show historical designs, from radios and household appliances, all the way to current day healthcare designs.
