Adults and physical activity

To lower your risk of high blood pressure, stroke, type 2 diabetes and coronary heart disease, experts recommend that adults do at least 150 minutes of moderate or 75 minutes of vigorous activity every week. While that may sound like a lot, remember activity is defined as any movement that requires energy, so it doesn’t have to be sport or a trip to the gym, it can be everyday activities like walking the dog or doing the ironing.
