A daily cup of tea may soothe your heart

Many people turn to a cup of tea when they need cheering up, but science says it may do more than just improve your mood - a recent study1 found that people who drank one cup of tea a day were at significantly lower risk of a major heart disease event during the study period than people who didn't drink tea.

"We found that moderate tea drinkers had a decreased progression of coronary artery calciumand a decreased incidence of cardiovascular events." Dr. Elliott Miller, an internal medicine physician and instructor of medicine at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, discusses the surprising health benefits to your daily cup of tea:
