Seniors and physical activity

Whatever your age, exercise is important, and experts advise those over 65 take part in 150 minutes of moderate or 75 minutes of intense physical activity every week. Not only does this keep risks of coronary heart disease, high blood pressure, stroke and type 2 diabetes in check, it also helps keep you at a healthy weight – remember the body burns fewer calories when you get older, so this becomes more important than ever.
