Berlin, Germany – At this year’s Internationale Funkausstellung (IFA) in Berlin, Germany, Royal Philips (NYSE: PHG, AEX: PHIA) announces its new innovation designed to give people a complete care system for their oral health. The Philips Sonicare DiamondClean Smart allows users to tackle multiple goals from whitening and gum health, to plaque removal and fresh breath. Improving users understanding of their oral health it empowers them to take an active role when looking after their mouth, teeth and gums in-between check-ups.
This innovative oral care solution includes new functionality and built-in smart technology which allows users to access a virtual oral health platform via the Philips Sonicare app. This gives users a whole new ecosystem of tools, advice and guidance to help change engrained behaviors and encourage good habits; this improves their overall brushing experience.
Collecting data and insights during each brushing session means users can track and monitor their progress through daily goal setting. This data can also be shared with their dentist via the Philips Sonicare app for tips and advice on how to tackle multiple oral health goals.
“We know that technology is shaping the future of healthcare, and that consumers are focused on solutions that are preventative and provide early diagnosis. We understand that it’s often hard for people to know if they’re doing a good job of their oral health in-between visits to the dentist, and is what these new innovations will assist with,” comments Egbert van Acht, Business Leader, Health & Wellness at Philips. “This new platform marks the future of oral healthcare, by giving users information they need to insight change and achieve their multiple oral health goals.”
