A key aim of the Philips Foundation is to identify projects where Royal Philips’ expertise and innovations can be used to best effect change. We work with Royal Philips country organizations in over 17 geographical areas, as well as with partner NGOs, to craft locally relevant programs.

Innovating for social change

The Philips Foundation utilizes the technology, service and delivery innovation model developed by Royal Philips and applies it for the facilitation of social change. Past innovations include developing ultrasound machines for rural healthcare settings, clean cook stoves, mobile telehealth, solar lighting and pneumonia and malnutrition testing.
