In his 2023 mid-year message, Philips CEO Roy Jakobs has shared his view on the state of healthcare today and the progress Philips is making this year.
Acknowledging the pressure healthcare is under, he said it requires systemic change.
“My view? Technology can help. Hard and software, AI and services can help. They are helping. But it has to serve people – the patients and those caring for the patients. Servant technology.”
He also said that Philips is progressing on its three priorities to enhance patient safety and quality, strengthen supply chain reliability, and simplify how we work and thanked employees.
“I am grateful for the dedication and commitment of all my Philips colleagues and their incredible efforts so far this year, our ecosystem partners, suppliers, and of course our customers.”
"Because of these efforts, we have returned to growth, meaning that we’re helping more healthcare professionals look after more patients and – at the same time – supporting more people to look after their health and well-being across the globe. And doing it in a more sustainable manner.”
