What good design does
Design is all about making sure we truly understand end user needs, and then work backward from them. This is what good design does, ensuring that our innovations can impact the lives of billions of people.
Designers imagine what it is like being an 8-year-old patient preparing for an MRI exam. They ask: what would this patient really want? To finish the MRI exam and say, ‘it wasn’t scary at all!’.
They also step into the shoes of an interventional cardiologist, performing minimally invasive heart procedures, working long hours. Their need: to focus on what truly matters: saving lives. Without worrying about their workload.
