Philips showcases commitment to improving health and wellbeing through connected daily routines at CES 2018

At this year’s Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, USA, Philips is demonstrating its commitment to delivering innovations that support consumers in their quest for healthy living. From the kitchen, to the bathroom, Philips provides solutions that empower individuals to better understand that their daily routines can have an impact on their health, confidence and wellbeing.

Our routines are the building blocks of our identity and self-expression and are indicative of our overall health and wellbeing. Personal care is at the centre of this, both starting and closing our day, providing us with the confidence to face the world in the morning and washing away the day in the evening. Decades of experience and insight into the category has enabled Philips to be at the forefront of personalization in personal care, delivering innovative propositions that support each unique individual with solutions tailored specifically to their needs.

“At Philips, we understand that today’s consumer is completely unique and wants to be treated as such. They expect brands to provide products and services tailored specifically to them, whether it’s an app to track their oral health and brushing technique, or a shaver that tackles their specific skin needs,” said Jack van Strien, Business Group Leader Personal Care at Royal Philips. “At CES we are showcasing innovations in personal care that bring together cutting-edge technology with personalized connected apps for solutions that give consumers the information they need to express themselves with confidence and feel their best, every day. We also apply our clinical expertise and heritage in healthcare to inform the development of at-home consumer solutions that inspire healthy living.”

Philips Smart Shaver series 7000

The Philips Smart Shaver series 7000 is the world’s first connected shaver, providing each man with a personalized shaving plan to tackle their specific skin issues and needs. Equipped with unique SmartSensor technology, the connected app tracks the user’s technique and provides immediate, tailored feedback to perfect their method. As their skin improves, the plan, which has been co-developed with dermatologists, provides updated advice and will adapt its recommendations on the sensitivity settings of the shaver. The shaver has been designed to address particular irritations such as nicks and cuts, redness, razor burn, ingrown hairs and other symptoms of irritation. This connected technology enables men with sensitive skin to enjoy a close daily shave, designed specifically for their unique requirements and helping them to feel their best.

Philips Skincare Assessment

The Philips Skincare Assessment is an easy-to-use, at-home skincare assessment kit, which helps each unique individual create a personal skin report, to help them better understand their own skin. Data from a combination of daily questions and skin measurements taken each morning and evening for five days, using the device, is captured by the connected app to provide a personalized skin report. This personalized skin report helps each individual to track their skin for a more detailed understanding of skin type and hydration levels and helps them to make informed decisions about their skin care to help them optimize their routines and feel their best, every day.

Philips connected devices and services go beyond a one size fits all approach, enabling consumers to optimize and individualize their daily personal care routines, to help them to create their identity and express themselves, with confidence.

The Philips Smart Shaver series 7000 is now exclusively available in United Kingdom. The Philips Skincare Assessment is being showcased for the first time at CES and is being piloted in the US, available via usa.philips.com.
