Philips launched a new AI-enabled CT 5300 at ECR2024. The system leverages the power of AI at every stage in CT scanner operation. It enhances productivity and diagnostic capabilities of radiology departments and is built for cardiac, bariatric, interventional and trauma.

CT 5300 introduces Nanopanel Precise, the industry’s first detector built for AI-based reconstruction. Precise Image reconstruction software delivers high-quality images at 80% lower dose and achieves up to 85% lower noise and 60% better low-contrast detectability than conventional image reconstruction1.

Low-contrast detectability tests were performed using 1.0 mm slices, and tested on the MITA CT IQ Phantom (CCT183, The Phantom Laboratory), using an auto tool “CHO” (Channelized Hotelling Observer).
