Highlighted products and solutions presented by Philips at MEDICA 2017 include:

Philips Lumify app-based mobile ultrasound

Connected to a user-supplied compatible Android smart device, Philips’ Lumify app-based hand-held ultrasound solution helps healthcare professionals make fast, informed decisions in a wide range of applications. Pre-sets are already available for cardiac, abdominal (including lung), obstetrics/gynecology, superficial, vascular, soft tissue, musculoskeletal, gallbladder, and FAST (Focused Assessment with Sonography for Trauma) examinations. Lumify’s suite of point-of-care transducers allows physicians in multiple point-of-care situations to take advantage of every crucial moment without the time and mobility restrictions of locating a full-blown ultrasound cart. To use Lumify, they simply have to download the Lumify app to a compatible Android smart device from the Google Play store, connect the Lumify transducer to the device and launch the app to begin scanning. The app now features several newly introduced upgrades, including the ability for users to adjust the orientation of the image and marker, and new obstetrics calculations for fetal age calculation. Philips Lumify is now available in Germany, as well as in many other countries around the world.

eL18-4 Transducer for OB/GYN, Pediatrics and Small Parts Imaging

Philips’ newest transducer allows fine-elevation focusing to deliver exceptional detail, resolution and tissue uniformity for clinical solutions, including: thyroid, breast, testicular, musculoskeletal, vascular, bowel, pediatrics and obstetrics. The eL18-4 builds on both the EPIQ and Affiniti ultrasound platforms, and is designed give care providers more information, making it easier to provide a confident diagnosis.

Philips DreamStation Go

DreamStation Go is Philips’ smallest positive airway pressure (PAP) device designed to simplify travel for patients living with obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). This discreet, slim-profile device weighs less than a kilogram and features a built-in power supply that reduces the number of components users have to pack. Philips’ innovative, 12mm micro-flexible tubing continues the compact trend across the holistic system, minimizing bulk while enhancing mobility and comfort. At half the size of Philips’ previous generation devices, DreamStation Go delivers the same clinically-proven performance and comfort, for reliable and convenient therapy on-the-go, and meets FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) standards for in-flight use. It is available in either a fixed-pressure continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) or auto-titrated positive airway pressure (APAP) model. Both options are Bluetooth-enabled for data transmission to Philips’ EncoreAnywhere and Care Orchestrator cloud-based patient management systems for clinicians. Integration with Philips’ DreamMapper application enables users to easily monitor therapy adherence across multiple devices from one consolidated dashboard.

Philips InnoSpire Go

The recent recipient of both the iF Product Design Award and International Design Excellence Award, Philips InnoSpire Go is a virtually silent, handheld nebulizer designed as a fast, convenient and portable treatment option for the increasing number of children with asthma, and adults with chronic respiratory conditions such as asthma and COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease). InnoSpire Go features a simple two-part assembly and clinically-proven vibrating mesh technology, and can be used with all commonly prescribed respiratory medications.
