Philips CEO Frans van Houten interviewed by Bloomberg on new environmental, social and governance targets

During this week’s Bloomberg Green Virtual Festival Philips CEO Frans Van Houten spoke with Bloomberg anchor Anna Edwards about the company’s new 2025 environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) commitments, that were announced the day before. These key commitments are part of an integrated new framework that guides execution of the company’s strategy. During the interview Frans gave comprehensive insight into the goals set but also explained how they fit into the bigger picture of Philips’ transformation into a focused and purpose-driven health technology company. 

Anna Edwards asked questions such as how to translate ambitions into solid targets and how to measure success with regards to ESG. Next to this Frans gave his views on the importance of a diverse and inclusive workforce and contemporary topics such as COVID-19.
