VA ATLAS community based telehealth

Bringing care to Veterans when and where they need it most

The US Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) provides healthcare to nearly 9 million Veterans, 4.7 million of whom live in rural areas across the country. The ATLAS concept has been designed to improve access to high-quality care for Veterans, by connecting patients and providers remotely through a secure, clinical-grade environment.

ATLAS is a purpose-built space providing a convenient, private setting for virtual face-to-face visits between patients and care. It has been designed to fit easily and securely into an array of traditional, and non-traditional healthcare environments, including Veteran Support Organization locations (such as VFW and American Legion Posts), libraries, municipal buildings, and retail settings.
