Designing a COVID-19 patient’s journey in every stage of care

COVID-19 Pathway

 

The COVID-19 pathway was designed to develop a common understanding of the journey for COVID-19 patients across the care continuum.

 

At the beginning of the COVID-19 global pandemic, there was so much unknown. Many health facilities and institutions, were “learning on the job” to rapidly scale up and deliver care for people with new COVID-19 disease. The COVID-19 pathway was designed to develop a common understanding of the journey for COVID-19 patients across the care continuum. The pathway allows Philips to identify the needs of end users and the health partners across each stage of care.

 

This pandemic has highlighted that improving healthcare is complex, multifactorial and requires systemic change. To contribute to this systemic change, a pathway can be used as a tool to truly focus on the end user journey and the care experience across the health continuum. This can enable Philips to better understand key healthcare system interventions to support future innovations.

 

As a health technology company, Philips has many innovative solutions that can potentially assist our health partners and end users across this COVID-19 Pathway. The three topics that will be highlighted in this virtual exhibition include the Philips COVID-19 screening & follow-up experience, the Mobile Medical Intensive Care Unit and lastly Healthdot.
