Teeth whitening treatments have quickly become a standard offer, with the global teeth-whitening market valued at USD 8.52 billion in 2024 and projected to reach USD 12.77 billion by 2032[1]

However, with increasing demand, new challenges can arise. As whitening appointments become more frequent, pressure on schedules and chair time continues to rise. Two in three dental professionals rate minimal chair time as highly important [2]. And whitening treatments typically require 45–50 minutes per session, blocking out valuable time that could otherwise be used for more complex procedures. Dental Professionals have acknowledged that this constraint can be frustrating[3], particularly as patient demand for whitening continues to grow.

This created an opportunity to rethink how whitening is delivered, shifting parts of the process outside the chair, while maintaining professional oversight and trusted results.

How Zoom! Delivered works

Building on the trusted Philips Zoom! whitening offering, the Philips Zoom! Delivered kit is an at-home teeth-whitening solution, available now from select dentists across the U.S.

Zoom! Delivered gives dental professionals the freedom to offer patients professional-grade, clinically proven Philips Zoom! teeth whitening at home, making oral healthcare simpler, more effective and more accessible. Visiting a Zoom! Delivered practice – which you can find here – patients can kickstart their order with their dental professional.

The dental professional starts by helping patients choose one of two whitening gels: DayWhite, applied for 30-60 minutes in the morning or evening [4], or NiteWhite, worn for 4-6 hours overnight. This comes with guidance on how to apply the gel safely.

After this choice, the dentist completes an intraoral scan for a custom tray and uploads it to Philips Lab. Within ten days, the resulting whitening kit arrives directly at the patient’s doorstep, with whitening trays and selected gel included.

With production, delivery and whitening gel application all handled off-site, this frees up dental chair time for dental professionals to commit to other, complex procedures.

A hydrogen and carbamide peroxide formula that works for sensitive teeth

Philips Zoom! Whitening kits enhance the bright and healthy look of the tooth’s enamel surface through a carefully created formula that delivers results in a safe and comfortable way.

Zoom! Whitening gels are formulated with either hydrogen peroxide or carbamide peroxide, two clinically proven agents that penetrate the enamel to break down deep stains, helping to reveal a brighter, whiter smile.

As this can be a sensitive process, the formula also includes potassium nitrate and sodium fluoride, two active ingredients that reduce discomfort for sensitive teeth: the former blocks nerve pathways that transmit pain signals, while the latter reinforces and protects the enamel surface in the process. Clinical studies show that 94% of participants reported little to no teeth sensitivity when using the gel [5].

Streamlining whitening treatments for dental professionals

Designed to fit into modern dental workflows, Zoom! Delivered is compatible with intraoral scanners, meaning professionals can submit scans and place orders with ease. By handling production and delivery directly, Philips achieves three things for dental professionals:

  •  Simplifies logistics because of decreased inventory.

  •  Reduces waste: shelf life for whitening gels is no longer an issue as Philips delivers by order.

  •  More space in the calendar can be dedicated to complex procedures.

This marks another step in the long-standing partnership between Philips and dental professionals. Philips Sonicare is one result of that, designed to improve oral health and support clinical practice. Zoom! Delivered is another. As convenience and flexibility become the new standards in oral care, dental professionals can offer patients greater choice when it comes to whitening treatments, while still delivering the trusted results they expect.
