In this latest role, Rob will focus his energies on assessing the long term strategic direction for Philips, and work closely with cluster leaders to determine appropriate organic and inorganic strategies.
Previously, Rob led Philips’ Diagnosis and Treatment business cluster, which combined the power of precision diagnosis with imaged guided minimally invasive treatment and therapy. Most recently, Rob led the formation of the Precision Diagnosis business cluster, which focuses on bringing together those businesses related to the future promise of precision medicine and disease pathway selection, including smart systems, informatics, solutions and services.
Prior to joining Philips in 2015, Rob was president and later CEO at Hologic, a global leader in women’s health. Under his tenure, Hologic broadly diversified its product portfolio and substantially grew revenues through a combination of innovative product development and acquisition, as well as the building of strong customer relationships.
